Tresorit, founded in Budapest and now majority-owned by Swiss Post, builds for people whose files have legal weight. That means end-to-end encryption everywhere, detailed access controls and audit trails, data-residency options, and certifications that satisfy compliance departments (GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001). Individual plans hover around $11.99 a month for 1 TB, roughly twice what Sync.com charges, and the polish justifies it for professional use. The apps are excellent, sharing controls are the best in the encrypted field, and support actually supports. For consumers we usually point to Sync.com. For client files, contracts, and medical data, Tresorit is the standard.
