About Google One
Google One upgrades the 15 GB free allowance shared by Gmail, Drive, and Photos: 100 GB for around $1.99 a month, 2 TB for $9.99, with family sharing across six people and extras like a VPN replaced over time by AI features on premium tiers. The convenience is real. Photo backup on Android just runs, the office suite is built in, and search inside your own files is the best anywhere. The caveats belong in any honest review. Encryption is server-side (Google holds the keys and scans content per its policies), version history is limited, and a synced delete is a deleted file everywhere. Fine as storage. Do not call it backup.
